Before you visit

The more info you can share with us, the better we can serve you. We’ve created a handy checklist to help you consider a few things before your visit!

• Do you have pets? Many tropical plants are toxic when ingested by pets. When you tell us you have pets we’ll let you know which plants need to be kept out of reach of your furry friends.
• What’s the light like in your space? Full-sun? Bright, indirect light? Medium to low light? Some plants will tolerate lower light but most will thrive in brighter spaces. We can talk to you about your options depending on your light.
• Every type of plant has their own watering and humidity needs. Are you willing to mist your plants daily or invest in a humidifier? Do you travel often and prefer a more hands-off plant?
• All plants will grow larger in the right conditions, but some get very large and some grow slowly and have a maximum growth point. From tight corners to loft ceilings, we can help you find the perfect plant for your space.
• We talk about the size of plants in terms of the diameter of their nursery or “grow” pot. That means a 10” diameter plant could be 2.5 feet or 6 feet tall, depending on the type of plant! We highly recommend keeping your plant in the grow pot and simply inserting it into a decorative cover pot unless you choose a pot with drainage (see our Momma pots for one great option!)
• Larger floor plants and smaller rare plants can come with a hefty price tag. We will be sure to keep your budget in mind when showing you options.
